Finally Under 200lbs

I have hit 193lbs. I have stopped drinking soda and I am working out. In March I am joining Neylana's Team and running the 5k in the Shamrock Run. I am super excited and I am starting to train now. I have started by walking/running every 1/4 mile. I have done a 5k in 49min 13sec. I hope to get that to be faster. I am hoping to try walking 1/4 mile and then running 1/2 mile.

Nike

Well I finally got my Nike+ sensor to sync with my phone! Today at 5:30 I will be going to my first Yoga class! I'm really excited and can't wait to see what it's like. I tried to get there on Monday and didn't make it over there in time after work. But today, I am leaving a few minutes early so I can get there.

Last night was my first night dancing with the performance team and it was amazing! 2 and a half hours of dancing my legs were definitely feeling it last night :)

Depending on how much Yoga kicks my butt tonight I may go back to the gym after I work at my grandpa's for a bit and run a mile or week 3 day 2 of my C25K!

Goals

I have a few goals for myself!

Long Term:
Be able to run a 5k in 6 weeks.
Goal weight: 150 lbs.

Short term:
Run a mile
Lose 10 lbs this month
Drink 8 glasses of water a day
Run 3 times a week

Starting weight: 210lbs

Working Hard

It started last week but today is when I really get to kick my butt into gear.
This weekend we celebrated my birthday with my family and my mother and brother got me a pair of running shoes with the nike+ app. I ran the end of the week two for the Couch to 5k last week and this week I am going to start week 3. Which alternates 90 sec. of walking and 3 min of running. But first I am going to do a Yoga class cause it sounds really neat, and I would love to work on my flexibility. I have a great group for support including my family, my boyfriend and my best friend. They are all amazing and I love how they are being super supportive.
